It is a pleasure to represent well-known Artists
such as Soto, Cruz-Diez
and Turrillo, among others. Besides the warmth they transmit, their works of art are an endless source of knowledge,
feelings and thoughts. I want to thank them for opening so many doors as new paths. For this reason, I wanted to
render them the joy they have given me.

J esús Soto
Soto
is like a lighthouse, according to a famous poem dedicated to the artists by Baudelaire. He is capable, with his
light, of always remember where the Earth is and where the dangerous reefs of the easy and short-term success are.
In order to commit to these, the artist travelled to Paris practically without resources; even though that with
his great talent he could be able to obtain a fast recognition in the Venezuela of the 50's. Instead of becoming
an appendix of the neo-plasticissim- so accepted and consolidated in Europe and soon in Latin-America- Soto took the
risk towards the unknown, about which only theories existed, to send a great expansive proposal that still multiplies
from the now famous exposition "Le Mouvement", at the Denise René Gallery, oi 1955, until this exhibition, and
where the author opens a new page.

Carlos Cruz-Diez
It is difficult to summarize a whole life devoted to art. It could only be added that it has been wonderful and
render fruits. Many of his work are part of permanent collections in Museums worldwide; numerous institutional
spaces want to have his exhibitions.
With the wisdom of men as Cruz-Diez and his work- due to his long way
through the path of art- we are face to face with the possibility of appreciating a group of works of art which
expresse themselves whitin plastic codes away from academic formalities. In order to open new horizons of the
artistic creation, Cruz-Diez has learned- as an artist and as a man- to manage emotions, reflections and studies
.

Karim Borjas
One of the outstanding representatives of the new generation of Venezuelan painters. One who has known to seriously
and originally set himself in the way of great teachers, of this vigorous and diversified plastic that his country
offers us...
This young artist- expressionist in the core of abstraction, has
obtained, due to his perseverance, particular and affluent skills with tones and textures, neatly mixing the light.
During the last years, Borjas has undertaken an intense intellectual
work; based on the subject of writing under his diverse manifestations, permiating such iconography to the pictorial
universe that their density and expression force have not stopped intensifying. Perhaps this is the reason why
his work allows us to illustrate with a magnificent eloquence a subject completely opposed in appearance to that
of the reverie essence; without doubt underlaying the trajectory of this great artist.

Annette Turrillo
... In her work, Annette Turrillo focuses on the theme of woman
and the eternal feminine condition. Through the rendering of
faces, bodies, breasts and hands in a setting and an atmosphere
that dilute physical attributes and project woman into the
context of the most categorical immanence, the artist delves
into the metaphysical qualities of femininity.
Subtle strokes define a particular psychology,….. An indefinite
and delicate setting that situates these entities at the highest
metaphysical level predominates. Turrillo attests to the
immanence of the feminine essence and inquires into the
transcendence of woman as a fertile presence in the world.
Each work is a visual passage that exalts the sensual or fertile
condition of woman as a symbol of life. Immersed in the
labyrinths of the essence, Turrillo also inquires into her own
feminine condition. As a woman-artist, she herself is also at
the nodal center of her philosophical interrogation.
Through her figurative painting, Annette Turrillo creates a
consistent iconography and a personal pictorial language. Her
thematic content of philosophical-visual exploration makes woman
the subject of metaphysical inquiry and transcendence...

Carlos Anzola
Carlos
Anzola structures the matrix of an inner landscape from an
obsessive and emotional weave of meticulous keys: in “Territory
of Test Tubes” he gives body to a monumental alterpiece giving
tribute to a close vision, intimate and subjective.
William Niño
año 2003 - II salón Exxon móbil de Venezuela en la G.A.N.
The work of Carlos Anzola shows and demonstrates that the constructivist speech is the only that survived from the historical
vanguards of the 900, those which took place in the first three decades of the 20th century, like the cubism, expressionism,
futurism, etc.
Anzola
does not remain confined in the Latinoamerican art, concept which had real importance in plastics between 1920
and, the decade of the 60's. Because from there on the art globalisation process had become continous. It forces
to judge Anzola's work as universal art, far away from all regionalism. The preconceived non-perfect forms as well
as non-orthogonal rectangles, surfaces and fragments without the usual and neat finishing, render to his work an
air of somewhat primitive aesthetic rusticity; like when the art had enigmatic and sacrificial meanings: religious. This
so attractive subjet, which is very unknown nowadays, is complemented by an archaeology of signs, some of these
of recognisable use, as the obsessive repetition of small Greek crossings, used in the mantles of the emperors
in Byzantine paintings, this does not mean that they exclusively represent Christianity. The others of symbolic
value last in the darkness of times, as they have belonged to remote cultures which testimonials signatures we
are able to admire but not to understand. For that reason Anzola continues comfortably- within his innovations- a multimillenary tradition
where the language does not completely expose all that has to been said to the spectator; but it keeps a secret,
a foreseen but invisible dark zone.
